Requirements
- CPA certification required.
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience across public accounting and industry roles.
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex guidance.
- Experience preparing technical accounting memos, financial statements, cash flow reporting, and complex consolidations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, with strong preference for NetSuite.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally across finance, engineering, and operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical accounting research and documentation across complex U.S. GAAP areas, including leases (ASC 842), revenue and software costs (ASC 985-20), goodwill, debt, equity, and purchase accounting.
- Own key balance sheet accounting areas, ensuring accuracy in leases, intangibles, equity, debt, and internally developed software capitalization.
- Build and maintain a bi-monthly cash forecasting model for senior leadership.
- Coordinate monthly financial reporting packages, including consolidated statements, departmental commentary, and cash flow statement preparation.
- Oversee cash reconciliation processes by validating account balances and ensuring completeness and accuracy across systems.
- Serve as NetSuite accounting administrator, managing user access, system controls, and compliance with ITGC requirements.
- Drive process improvements by designing scalable accounting workflows and applying technical judgment.
