Requirements
- 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience in distributed systems or high-scale environments.
- Strong proficiency in Go and Node/NestJS for building scalable backend services.
- Hands-on experience with distributed architectures, event-driven systems, and asynchronous workflows.
- Strong expertise in databases including PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems, with performance tuning experience.
- Proven experience working with LLM integrations, embeddings, vector databases, and RAG-based systems.
- Familiarity with edge or serverless platforms such as Cloudflare Workers and KV or equivalent technologies.
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, latency optimization, and production reliability.
- Experience implementing AI safety mechanisms, structured outputs, and model evaluation approaches.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable AI-driven backend systems supporting high-traffic platform services and generative workflows.
- Own architecture and implementation of distributed systems, including microservices, event-driven pipelines, and edge or serverless components.
- Build and optimize LLM-powered systems such as RAG pipelines, embeddings workflows, and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
- Drive development of secure and scalable identity, permissions, and access control systems across platform services.
- Improve system reliability, performance, and observability using monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices.
- Implement AI safety and guardrails, including structured outputs, verification layers, and hallucination mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with staff engineers and product teams to translate architectural designs into production-ready systems.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and best-practice enforcement in a high-ownership engineering culture.
