Requirements
- Solid experience in Data Engineering with strong focus on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing and analytics workloads.
- Strong knowledge of Data Mesh architecture principles and implementation.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and PySpark for data processing and engineering tasks.
- Strong SQL expertise and experience with data modeling techniques.
- Experience working in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data architecture, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, agile teams.
- Experience with Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and observability practices is a differentiator.
- Experience building data products and enabling self-service analytics is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines supporting large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
- Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Databricks, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and evolve Data Mesh architectures, supporting decentralized and domain-oriented data ownership models.
- Build data solutions using Python and PySpark, ensuring maintainable and production-ready codebases.
- Design and optimize complex SQL queries and data models to support analytics, reporting, and data products.
- Operate within cloud environments (preferably Azure), ensuring best practices for scalability, security, and observability.
- Ensure data quality, monitoring, and governance standards across pipelines and datasets.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to define data architecture standards and support strategic initiatives.
