Requirements
- Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, DNP, MD, or PhD) with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience as an MSL.
- Alternatively, a Master's or Bachelor's degree (e.g., BS, BSN, RPh, PA, NP) with 5 or more years of relevant MSL experience.
- Learning agility to communicate complex scientific content clearly.
- Self-directed field-based work capability with strong project management skills.
- Advanced presentation skills and expertise in literature identification.
- Effective strategic and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence.
- Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, and medical research.
- Ability to travel approximately 60% of the time and work 4 to 6 weekends per year.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing therapeutic area focuses.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate scientific exchange with the scientific community to address clinical and scientific questions.
- Act as a reliable, trusted resource of unbiased medical and scientific knowledge for key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Represent the voice of KOLs to internal business partners and identify research or external collaboration opportunities.
- Coordinate KOL engagements and support clinical trial execution through strategic planning and prioritization.
- Collaborate with clinical research sites to support patient recruitment, retention, and site identification.
- Contribute to team meetings, share competitive intelligence, and assist in training new MSLs.
- Maintain professional expertise through attendance at scientific meetings and conferences.
