Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with the Linux audio stack (PipeWire, WirePlumber, ALSA).
- Strong proficiency in C and systems-level programming.
- Solid understanding of core audio concepts including latency, formats, synchronization, buffering, and resampling.
- Proven ability to debug complex issues across multiple layers of a Linux system.
- Comfortable working directly with customers in a consulting or support capacity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with ALSA kernel driver development (nice to have).
- Familiarity with Rust (nice to have).
- Exposure to Bluetooth audio including A2DP, HFP, and LE Audio (nice to have).
- Basic understanding of DSP concepts such as signal flow and filtering (nice to have).
- Contributions to relevant open-source projects (nice to have).
- Experience with embedded or real-time Linux systems (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and collaborate with WirePlumber, PipeWire, and ALSA upstream communities.
- Design, integrate, and ship embedded Linux audio systems for real-world products.
- Implement and debug PipeWire and WirePlumber stacks, including ALSA, DSPs, and system-level interactions.
- Work directly with customer teams to translate requirements into robust audio architectures and solutions.
- Support adjacent areas like Bluetooth audio and Linux audio tooling to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Act as a technical advisor to explain complex audio architecture decisions to product teams.
