Experience: 10–15+ years

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Master’s strongly preferred.
10–15+ years of experience in systems or network architecture.
Deep expertise in tactical Army communications systems.
Expertise in SATCOM, specifically TDMA/FDMA, terminals, and modems.
Strong knowledge of RF communications and transmission systems.
Solid understanding of IP networking and transport architectures.
Experience developing architectures across system-of-systems environments.
Working knowledge of DoDAF and enterprise architecture frameworks.
Experience interfacing with Government leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop end-to-end tactical network architectures integrating RF, SATCOM, and IP transport.
Define architecture frameworks aligned to DoDAF and Army network modernization strategies.
Lead design of multi-domain, multi-transport communications systems including LOS, BLOS, SATCOM, and 5G.
Ensure interoperability across Army tactical systems, joint and coalition networks, and commercial/cloud services.
Guide technology insertion and modernization, evaluating emerging technologies for integration into program baselines.
Lead architectural reviews and technical decision boards.
Provide subject matter expertise on RF propagation, link budgets, waveform selection, SATCOM system design, and network resiliency.
Develop architecture artifacts, roadmaps, and technical strategies, while mentoring engineering staff.
