Requirements

  • Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or another advanced theology degree.
  • Demonstrated competency in New Testament exegesis.
  • Working knowledge of Koine Greek.
  • A clearly articulated Christ-centered hermeneutic.
  • Familiarity with major evangelical scholarship on the Gospels and Acts.
  • Demonstrated capacity to engage diverse theological perspectives with humility and care.
  • Ability to write clearly for educated lay readers.
  • Comfortable collaborating within a multi-author theological project.
  • Willingness to receive and implement substantive editorial feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Research and write assigned portions of the Gospels and/or Acts.
  • Provide clear, structured commentary on literary context, historical context, and key theological themes.
  • Engage with major interpretive questions and original languages without becoming overly technical.
  • Articulate Christ-centered and redemptive-historical connections for each passage.
  • Revise material based on editorial and peer review to ensure doctrinal alignment and accessibility.
  • Draw out textually grounded practical applications for contemporary readers.
