Requirements
- Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or another advanced theology degree.
- Demonstrated competency in New Testament exegesis.
- Working knowledge of Koine Greek.
- A clearly articulated Christ-centered hermeneutic.
- Familiarity with major evangelical scholarship on the Gospels and Acts.
- Demonstrated capacity to engage diverse theological perspectives with humility and care.
- Ability to write clearly for educated lay readers.
- Comfortable collaborating within a multi-author theological project.
- Willingness to receive and implement substantive editorial feedback.
Responsibilities
- Research and write assigned portions of the Gospels and/or Acts.
- Provide clear, structured commentary on literary context, historical context, and key theological themes.
- Engage with major interpretive questions and original languages without becoming overly technical.
- Articulate Christ-centered and redemptive-historical connections for each passage.
- Revise material based on editorial and peer review to ensure doctrinal alignment and accessibility.
- Draw out textually grounded practical applications for contemporary readers.
