Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Active bar admission.
- USPTO registration for patent practitioners.
- 3+ years of full-time IP experience at an AmLaw 100/200 firm or Fortune 500 in-house IP team.
- Background in patent prosecution, trademark portfolio management, IP litigation, or licensing.
- Proven proficiency in Westlaw/LexisNexis.
- Proven proficiency in document automation tools like HotDocs or Contract Express.
- Proven proficiency in discovery/review platforms such as Relativity.
- Strong analytical thinking and writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Build a realistic digital workspace representing day-to-day IP legal operations including client memos, patent/trademark drafts, and licensing agreements.
- Design multi-step tasks grounded in real-world workflows that require navigating multiple apps and files to challenge frontier AI agents.
- Collaborate with other IP attorneys to design environments and review scenarios for realism and rigor.
- Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and evaluation criteria for IP-law agent benchmarks.
- Contribute to frontier AI research by creating work that informs the training and evaluation of next-generation AI systems.
