Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare information technology, healthcare data integration, or interoperability.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with FHIR and healthcare data exchange.
- 4+ years of Java development experience, with familiarity in Python or Ruby on Rails.
- 4+ years of experience in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably with large-scale cloud applications.
- 4+ years of experience developing RESTful API endpoints using object-oriented languages like Java/Spring.
- Must be familiar with healthcare data and integration including HL7, FHIR, JSON, and XML.
- Familiarity with the development and implementation of concept maps for FHIR resources.
- Experience managing large volumes of clinical data, cleaning data, and improving conformance and quality.
- Understanding of healthcare terminology sets including ICD, SNOMED, CPT/HCPCS, and LOINC.
- Experience working and negotiating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of FHIR standards, ensuring accuracy and efficient data exchange.
- Ingest healthcare data from source systems into FHIR resources via ETL processes, monitoring data quality and integrity.
- Create and maintain data mapping specifications to transform non-FHIR data formats into FHIR-compliant formats.
- Develop and scale API endpoints for FHIR solutions.
- Implement security measures and access controls to protect sensitive healthcare data.
- Comply with healthcare data privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
- Record and maintain comprehensive artifacts of FHIR implementations, data transformations, and data flows using tools like Confluence.
- Participate in program increment (PI) planning.
