Responsibilities

  • Monitor news and track sources to identify emerging issues for investigations.
  • Craft strategic, litigation-ready public records requests to federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Conduct rigorous review and analysis of document productions to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and unreported trends.
  • Synthesize investigative findings into newsworthy narratives, blog posts, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Communicate with government agencies regarding public records requests and work with the legal team to ensure timely pursuit of materials.
  • Support external engagement by contributing to meetings and briefings with journalists and allies.
  • Manage document processing and organization to ensure findings remain accessible.
