Requirements
- 10+ years of health services research, clinical epidemiology, or health economics research.
- Experience leading research teams and overseeing research staff.
- Proven experience in end-to-end peer review publication process.
- Demonstrated publication record in studies of mental health.
- Advanced degree in a research-related field.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, engineering, operations).
- Significant experience with real-world health care data (claims, EHR).
- Strong background in experimentation and strategy coaching.
- Hands-on technical fluency in SQL and Python or R.
- Experience with modern data stacks like Snowflake, dbt, and Looker.
Responsibilities
- Scale the clinical research function at Headway, developing quarterly roadmaps and overseeing execution.
- Lead projects from conceptualization to execution, driving insight through strategic analysis, causal inference, and experimentation.
- Develop and drive the vision for clinical research standards for analysis and experimentation.
- Conduct strategic analysis to strengthen vision and resolve for key initiatives.
- Translate complex insights into clear, data-driven recommendations.
- Navigate ambiguity as the foundational hire to define responsibilities and success criteria.
- Influence senior leadership and corporate strategy.
