Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligible for licensure in Canada.
- Experience with control system design, controller tuning, and simulation-based testing.
- Experience with data processing, analysis, and system integration.
- Familiarity with system identification and empirical model development.
- Experience writing specification documents and technical reports.
- Proficiency with Python and version control software (e.g., GitHub).
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and tune advanced control strategies (MPC) for pipeline systems.
- Design state machines, fail-safe conditions, and safety interlocks.
- Execute test plans to validate controller performance and safety.
- Perform root cause analyses and troubleshoot errors.
- Develop tools for data analysis, system identification, and model tuning.
- Develop playbooks and standardize processes for system integration.
- Build trust-based relationships with client operators and technical leads.
