Requirements

  • Ability to clear required background check

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure student outcomes
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with parents and related service staff to ensure student needs are met.
  • Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and state-specific special education documentation.
  • Facilitate and lead collaborative IEP meetings.
  • Ensure accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities are implemented.
  • Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
  • Document all contact with parents and interventions with students.
  • Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment.
  • Maintain grade book and make student placement decisions.
