Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active Texas Special Education teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure student outcomes
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Responsibilities
- Communicate with parents and related service staff to ensure student needs are met.
- Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and state-specific special education documentation.
- Facilitate and lead collaborative IEP meetings.
- Ensure accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities are implemented.
- Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
- Document all contact with parents and interventions with students.
- Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment.
- Maintain grade book and make student placement decisions.
