Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Production-level proficiency in both Ruby on Rails and Go
- Experience with monolith-to-microservices migrations
- Experience designing/operating distributed or event-driven systems
- Strong PostgreSQL skills including query optimization
- Solid understanding of REST or gRPC API design
- Experience with asynchronous workflows and message queues
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment automation
- Knowledge of observability: logging, metrics, and tracing
Responsibilities
- Build and own backend services across Rails and Go ecosystems
- Support migration of Rails monolith to microservices
- Power internal tooling APIs for operational teams
- Own technical delivery from requirements to production
- Drive system reliability and optimize performance
- Define technical direction and architectural decisions
- Provide hands-on mentorship to other engineers
- Improve engineering practices and code quality
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and QA
- Participate in on-call rotation
