Requirements
- 5-8 years of government affairs or regulatory advocacy experience in hemp, cannabis, alcohol or highly regulated CPG.
- Strong understanding of state hemp beverage policy landscape and emerging regulatory trends.
- Proven track record of influencing state-level regulations or legislation across multiple states.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per month.
- Age 21 or older.
Responsibilities
- Shape state and federal hemp beverage regulations focusing on packaging, DTC frameworks, and market access.
- Represent the company in state-level advocacy, coalitions, and trade associations.
- Cultivate relationships with regulators, legislators, and key stakeholders.
- Develop policy positions including comments, white papers, and testimony.
- Track legislative developments and advise leadership on strategic responses.
- Serve as internal expert on hemp beverage frameworks across expansion markets.
- Partner with product, marketing, legal, and sales teams to integrate regulatory insight into commercial decisions.
