Requirements

  • 5-8 years of government affairs or regulatory advocacy experience in hemp, cannabis, alcohol or highly regulated CPG.
  • Strong understanding of state hemp beverage policy landscape and emerging regulatory trends.
  • Proven track record of influencing state-level regulations or legislation across multiple states.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ability to travel 1-2 times per month.
  • Age 21 or older.

Responsibilities

  • Shape state and federal hemp beverage regulations focusing on packaging, DTC frameworks, and market access.
  • Represent the company in state-level advocacy, coalitions, and trade associations.
  • Cultivate relationships with regulators, legislators, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop policy positions including comments, white papers, and testimony.
  • Track legislative developments and advise leadership on strategic responses.
  • Serve as internal expert on hemp beverage frameworks across expansion markets.
  • Partner with product, marketing, legal, and sales teams to integrate regulatory insight into commercial decisions.
