Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong focus on data engineering or backend systems
- Deep expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, and Terraform
- Strong experience building large-scale financial, payments, commissions, or incentive-based systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and modern data architecture patterns
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-team technical initiatives across functional domains
- Strong understanding of scalable data pipeline design, distributed systems, and data reliability principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
- Strong leadership mindset with ability to influence architecture and technical direction without direct authority
- Experience in incident response and production system reliability improvements
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of scalable financial data systems supporting commissions, incentives, payments, and related backend financial workflows
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines using modern distributed systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance at scale
- Define technical strategy and roadmap for financial data operations in collaboration with Finance, Product, Data Science, and Engineering stakeholders
- Develop platform-level tooling that enables faster onboarding of new data sources and improved experimentation cycles
- Contribute directly to codebases, including Python, SQL, Spark, and Terraform, to deliver high-impact engineering solutions
- Establish and promote engineering best practices and standards across teams in collaboration with other senior engineers
- Lead incident response efforts and drive long-term improvements in system resiliency and reliability
- Mentor and guide engineers in technical execution, architecture decisions, and strategic project planning
