Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, HAM, SAM, Discovery, or related platform modules.
- Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, CI relationships, Service Mapping, and configuration governance principles.
- Solid knowledge of ServiceNow CSDM framework and service modeling best practices.
- Experience implementing and supporting Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management processes.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including Configuration, Asset, Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, and data quality management within ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure including cloud, servers, networks, virtualization, and software lifecycle management.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum and structured SDLC environments.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow CMDB, HAM, and SAM modules in alignment with governance and platform best practices.
- Enhance Discovery and Service Mapping capabilities to improve configuration data accuracy, visibility, and relationship mapping across IT assets and services.
- Ensure CMDB alignment with the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM), maintaining consistency in service and application representations.
- Develop and manage integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, and web services.
- Monitor and improve CMDB health through governance controls, data normalization, reconciliation, and certification processes.
- Support hardware and software asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, compliance tracking, and retirement.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to support CMDB governance and asset management insights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CMDB, HAM, SAM, and Discovery-related issues, including data inconsistencies and integration failures.
- Contribute to automation initiatives using Flow Designer and ServiceNow workflow capabilities to improve operational efficiency.
- Support platform upgrades, testing, and release activities related to CMDB and asset management functionality.
