Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, including automation and infrastructure-focused development.
- Strong programming skills in Python or similar backend languages, with experience building production-grade APIs and automation systems.
- Deep knowledge of network security concepts including firewall policy design, ZTNA, micro-segmentation, DNS security, PKI, and traffic analysis.
- Experience with tools and platforms such as Cloudflare, Zscaler, Palo Alto, or equivalent enterprise security technologies.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD-driven environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and security operations in regulated environments such as fintech or financial services.
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments.
- Exposure to or interest in AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and build fully automated network security change management pipelines that ensure speed, auditability, and reduced manual intervention.
- Develop real-time network telemetry, monitoring, and alerting systems integrating threat intelligence, cloud infrastructure data, and asset inventories.
- Engineer production-grade security tooling such as firewall lifecycle automation, configuration compliance validation, drift detection, and policy enforcement systems.
- Tune and manage network security controls including IDS/IPS, WAF, DNS security, and firewall rules to improve detection fidelity and operational resilience.
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations across security platforms such as Cloudflare, Zscaler, and cloud-native services.
- Support compliance and audit activities through evidence collection, documentation, and maintenance of accurate network topology.
- Collaborate with SOC, SRE, and IT teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, incident response workflows, and infrastructure automation.
- Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development and build scalable, reusable security automation frameworks.
