Requirements
- PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Expertise in post-training techniques such as SFT, DPO, RLHF, RLAIF, and preference modeling.
- Expertise in evaluation and monitoring of aligned models, including human/AI feedback loops and safety metrics.
- Proficiency with modern transformer-based models including LLMs and multimodal models.
- Familiarity with vector search and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience working with cross-functional partners in regulated domains such as finance or healthcare.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to mentor senior staff.
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to expert and non-expert audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and strategy for RL post-training of production models.
- Design and implement post-training pipelines using supervised fine-tuning, preference modeling, and RL alignment approaches like RLHF, RLAIF, or DPO.
- Develop reward models and objective formulations to balance helpfulness, safety, fairness, and compliance.
- Translate behavioral signals into training, reward, and evaluation signals.
- Partner with model and platform teams to improve efficiency, robustness, and evaluation frameworks.
- Mentor applied scientists and engineers in RL and post-training methods.
- Represent the company through external thought leadership, talks, or publications.
