Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited; power systems preferred)
Minimum 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in nuclear power or systems engineering
Strong experience in I&C system design, testing, installation, and documentation
Deep understanding of NRC regulations, 10 CFR requirements, and nuclear safety standards
Familiarity with IEEE standards relevant to nuclear instrumentation and control systems
Ability to develop technical documentation, engineering analyses, and complex system designs
Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in project coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership

Responsibilities

Preparing, reviewing, and validating I&C system design work products such as diagrams, specifications, engineering calculations, hazard analyses, and test criteria
Planning, organizing, and coordinating detailed engineering activities, including scope definition and scheduling
Translating functional requirements into complete system and component designs with consideration for interfaces, safety, and maintainability
Leading technical decision-making for system design and ensuring compliance with NRC regulatory criteria and industry codes
Supporting testing, installation, and validation of process control and automation systems
Providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and serving as a subject matter expert within project teams
Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and cross-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure design alignment
Acting as a technical interface with regulatory authorities, supporting audits, reviews, and requests for additional information
