Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing inspector or surveillance engineer in the nuclear industry.
- Strong knowledge of NDE, specifically UT and RT.
- Strong knowledge of welding activities.
- Knowledge of nuclear construction codes/regulations such as RCC-M, ASME, and ESPN.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for critical nuclear equipment.
- Willingness to travel frequently (50% to 75%).
- Certification in NDE or welding (e.g., NF EN ISO 9712, CWI) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead surveillance of supplier manufacturing operations to assess conformity to contractual requirements.
- Ensure supplier implementation of nuclear safety culture.
- Identify and report deviations to contractual requirements.
- Review final documentation and issue quality release at end of manufacturing.
- Witness manufacturing activities including welding, non-destructive examination, dimensional control, and destructive testing.
- Raise deviations and issue surveillance reports.
- Perform unscheduled oversight based on lessons learned.
- Support supply chain and project team requests.
