Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing inspector or surveillance engineer in the nuclear industry.
  • Strong knowledge of NDE, specifically UT and RT.
  • Strong knowledge of welding activities.
  • Knowledge of nuclear construction codes/regulations such as RCC-M, ASME, and ESPN.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for critical nuclear equipment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (50% to 75%).
  • Certification in NDE or welding (e.g., NF EN ISO 9712, CWI) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead surveillance of supplier manufacturing operations to assess conformity to contractual requirements.
  • Ensure supplier implementation of nuclear safety culture.
  • Identify and report deviations to contractual requirements.
  • Review final documentation and issue quality release at end of manufacturing.
  • Witness manufacturing activities including welding, non-destructive examination, dimensional control, and destructive testing.
  • Raise deviations and issue surveillance reports.
  • Perform unscheduled oversight based on lessons learned.
  • Support supply chain and project team requests.
