Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Experience with SONET (Synchronous Optical Networking) including provisioning and troubleshooting isolation (Fujitsu, Alcatel, Tellabs).
- Experience with SONET signals (DS1, DS3, OC3, OC768).
- Experience with DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing) including provisioning and troubleshooting isolation (Tellabs, Ciena, Infinera).
- Understanding of DWDM aggregate signal and dispersion.
- Ability to use vendor GUI and Element Management Systems (EMS).
- Proficiency with TL1 command line interface.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Development, Product Owners, and Operations to deliver business-impacting projects.
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced team members.
- Support federated development teams to deliver new functionality and automate network device management.
- Improve release processes and facilitate migration to CI/CD approaches.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting to support production issues.
- Assist in the design and architecture of Transport Devices.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies.
- Provide re-route functions across a diverse network using SONET and DWDM technologies.
