Requirements
- 10-15 years of experience as a controls engineer, programmer, or equivalent.
- Expertise in HVAC and Data Center cooling control methodologies.
- Knowledge of chiller plant fundamentals, configurations, and sequence of operations.
- Understanding of applied thermodynamics for cooling, refrigeration, and hydronics.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial control protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
- Proficiency in programming with PLC, ladder logic, text, or block languages.
- Ability to read and write Python scripts.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing control systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex concepts to non-experts.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Control Theory, or Applied Mathematics.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for industrial customers.
- Create facility representations in system builder software.
- Map tag data and review Insights logic for facility-specific requirements.
- Assist in analyzing, troubleshooting, and triaging control systems.
- Identify and define product requirements based on customer specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to scale automation tools.
- Translate customer-stated and implied needs into documentation.
- Manage project delivery and mentor peers.
