Requirements
- 8+ years of back-end engineering experience
- Focus on cloud infrastructure
- Fluent in writing and speaking English
- Ability to work in the Americas timezone
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with event-driven systems at scale (Kafka, SQS/SNS, or similar)
- Experience with Typescript and Golang
- Experience with high-workload applications
- Knowledge of email best practices or willingness to learn
Responsibilities
- Define architecture to support millions of daily API requests
- Build and scale infrastructure to send dozens of millions of emails per day
- Improve high availability across distributed applications
- Scale databases like Postgres and Clickhouse
- Enhance observability using tools like Datadog
- Refine disaster recovery plans
- Build infrastructure with IaC frameworks like CDK and Terraform
- Design and operate async pipelines (queues, streams, idempotency, retries, DLQs)
- Participate in on-call rotation
