- Experience directly leading engineers in a product or platform organization
- Strong people leadership skills including coaching and career development
- Deep understanding of platform and systems thinking
- Hands-on software engineering background
- Ability to contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews
- Experience in cross-functional alignment with Product and Design teams
- Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment
Responsibilities
- Build and grow a high-performing Core Platform team
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team shaping
- Drive backend and frontend platform evolution
- Help the team make sound technical decisions regarding scalability, reliability, and performance
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to align platform priorities
- Mentor engineers and maintain engineering quality standards
- Step into technical details or code when necessary to unblock the team
