Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Deep expertise with AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation/Terraform)
  • Strong Terraform experience (modules, state management, CI/CD integration)
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar)
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2)

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the Hospice AWS infrastructure using Terraform (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Backup)
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications transitioning from legacy deployment processes
  • Execute the cloud cost optimization roadmap: right-sizing, Savings Plans, storage tiering
  • Plan and lead the migration from EC2-based workloads to modern architectures (EKS, Lambda, Step Functions)
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability (Datadog, CloudWatch)
  • Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance and security best practices across all environments
  • Mentor and upskill the Hospice application team on AWS operations and modern SDLC practices
  • Collaborate with DBA team on the SQL Server EC2 to RDS migration
  • Manage production patching, backup/DR, and incident response for the Hospice platform
