Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering roles with strong hands-on expertise in pipeline development and data architecture.
- Strong proficiency in working with Snowflake, including semi-structured data handling using VARIANT and SQL-based transformations.
- Solid experience with MongoDB, MySQL, and relational database design principles.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience building batch and/or real-time data pipelines in production environments.
- Good programming skills in Python (preferred), including familiarity with ETL frameworks such as Rivery or Informatica.
- Strong understanding of data quality, security, governance, and performance optimization.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines using modern data engineering practices.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources including MongoDB, relational databases, and APIs.
- Design and manage data processing solutions leveraging Snowflake for staging, transformation, and analytics.
- Develop solutions to flatten and normalize complex semi-structured data into structured relational models.
- Ensure high-performance database design and optimization in MySQL, including indexing and query tuning.
- Automate data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows for batch and real-time processing.
- Implement data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards across pipelines and datasets.
- Maintain logging, monitoring, and instrumentation for data systems to ensure reliability and observability.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting technical growth and best practice adoption.
