Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 4 years in engineering leadership.
- Deep background in quality engineering, including building or rebuilding automation frameworks.
- Proven experience migrating automation frameworks in a multi-platform environment (web/iOS/Android).
- Demonstrated success driving a cultural shift from manual-heavy to automation-first QA in a regulated environment.
- Experience implementing release gate processes and enforcing go/no-go decisions.
- Hands-on experience with modern automation tooling (Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Maestro, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Angular, Swift, and Kotlin environments.
- Experience driving AI coding tool adoption across engineering teams.
- Strong technical depth in architecture, debugging, and production incident response.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead four value streams â Banking Core Integration, Business Banking, Vendor Integration, and Account Acquisition.
- Manage and develop engineering managers, tech leads, and a Principal Engineer.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in solution design, architectural reviews, and incident management.
- Design and implement an engineering quality framework across all eight value streams.
- Define and enforce quality gates and release readiness criteria.
- Lead a QA organization of manual and automation QA engineers.
- Partner with the Release Manager to implement a structured release gate process.
- Champion AI-assisted coding adoption and embed AI productivity into performance criteria.
