Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related health/scientific field
  • 10+ years of experience in clinical research, ideally within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment
  • At least 7 years of experience in clinical project management roles overseeing complex studies
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes across all phases, including regulatory submissions and study start-up
  • Solid knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory frameworks (FDA, Health Canada, EMA)
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and change order management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of Phase I–IV clinical trials, including planning, execution, monitoring, and study close-out
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements in collaboration with functional leaders
  • Track project progress using established tools, ensuring accurate reporting of milestones, risks, and deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across clinical operations, data management, statistics, regulatory, and vendor management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, managing communication, expectations, and issue resolution
  • Monitor financial performance, identify out-of-scope activities, and manage change orders and budget adjustments
  • Lead project status meetings, ensuring risks, delays, and mitigation strategies are clearly identified and addressed
  • Ensure compliance with ICH guidelines and regulatory standards including FDA, Health Canada, and EMA requirements
