Requirements

  • Master’s degree, JD, or equivalent advanced degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in student conduct, academic integrity, behavioral intervention, or related student affairs functions.
  • Strong expertise in crisis management, conflict resolution, mediation, harm reduction, and student-centered conduct processes.
  • Thorough understanding of higher education laws and regulations including FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, ADA, and related compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience investigating and resolving complex conduct cases, including matters involving sexual misconduct, stalking, or interpersonal violence.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, supervising staff, and balancing multiple high-priority cases and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse campus communities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities with experience using data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethical decision-making within student affairs and higher education environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all operations related to academic integrity and student conduct, ensuring fair and consistent application of institutional policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor professional staff while overseeing case management systems, workflow processes, and departmental operations.
  • Serve as the primary campus resource for student disciplinary matters, behavioral intervention consultation, and crisis mitigation involving students of concern.
  • Oversee investigations, adjudication processes, sanctions, and resolution strategies related to academic misconduct, student behavior, and Title IX-related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations including FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, ADA, and Drug-Free Schools requirements.
  • Develop and implement proactive educational initiatives, prevention programs, and restorative practices focused on student conduct and academic integrity.
  • Analyze conduct trends and assessment data to improve policies, programs, reporting processes, and campus-wide engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with campus leadership, academic units, and multidisciplinary teams to support student well-being, conflict resolution, and institutional risk management.
