Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior director or VP-level engineering leadership role.
- Proven success leading and scaling engineering organizations in fast-paced, client-facing, or professional services environments.
- Strong experience designing and operating modern cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven platforms, and real-time applications.
- Hands-on expertise with AI technologies, including generative AI, machine learning systems, AI-assisted development tools, and agentic workflows in production environments.
- Deep understanding of modern development ecosystems including cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, observability tools, and data platforms.
- Strong technical background with proficiency in modern development stacks such as Node.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience building scalable systems where reliability, latency, and performance are mission-critical.
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders, collaborate with clients, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly and strategically.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills with a people-first mindset and passion for developing engineering talent.
- Experience in sports, media, entertainment, or related industries is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable traveling up to 50% for client meetings, team collaboration, and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Lead and scale the engineering organization, fostering a high-performance culture centered on collaboration, mentorship, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Define and execute a multi-year AI-driven technology roadmap aligned with business objectives, client needs, and evolving industry trends.
- Advance AI-assisted engineering practices, including generative and agentic AI capabilities, across development workflows and client solutions.
- Oversee architecture and delivery standards across cloud-native systems, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, observability, Infrastructure as Code, security, and scalable distributed platforms.
- Drive modernization initiatives that improve delivery speed, platform resilience, and engineering quality across all engagements.
- Collaborate with product, design, data, and client stakeholders to develop real-time, personalized digital experiences and intelligent data platforms.
- Guide the implementation of monitoring, analytics, and operational best practices to support business-critical environments and live event ecosystems.
- Contribute technical expertise to business development activities, strategic proposals, industry events, and executive-level client engagements.
- Evaluate technology investments, platform partnerships, and third-party integrations to support long-term growth and innovation objectives.
- Ensure engineering teams are equipped to deliver scalable solutions while balancing speed, reliability, performance, and customer impact.
