Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare facilities management, plant operations, or capital project leadership.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site capital construction programs and associated operating and capital budgets.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and CMMS platforms.
  • Experience working within regulated healthcare environments, particularly ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong leadership experience building and managing high-performing, multi-disciplinary operational teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee complex projects across multiple geographies.
  • Experience working in fast-growing, private equity-backed, or M&A-active environments.
  • Familiarity with facilities modernization initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in capital planning and ROI-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for all facilities operations, equipment management, and capital construction initiatives across a multi-state healthcare network.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital construction projects, including ambulatory surgery centers, clinic expansions, and facility upgrades.
  • Manage relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, and external consultants.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Master Equipment Plan.
  • Establish and oversee preventive maintenance programs across all facilities.
  • Build, manage, and optimize operating and capital budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (CMS, AAAHC, state health departments).
  • Provide facilities due diligence and integration leadership for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Evaluate and modernize facilities technology systems.
  • Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing facilities and resource management team.
