Requirements
- 12+ years of total industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading and building software engineering teams.
- Experience developing on public clouds (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience managing a team of 8 or more members.
- Track record of performance management and team building.
- Proven delivery of team or organizational projects/initiatives.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
- Track record of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ownership.
- Hands-on experience with agile teams.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams including Software and Quality Engineers.
- Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
- Experience with AI coding agents and tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, Notebook LLM).
Responsibilities
- Manage and guide engineering teams reporting to you.
- Interact with Staff and Principal engineers to build features, drive architecture, define best practices, and enable product quality.
- Influence engineering practices, product strategy, and execution.
- Partner with peers and other teams to build, lead, and inspire an engineering organization.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of team activities.
- Hire, onboard, and mentor a growing and diverse team.
- Participate in on-call shifts.
