Requirements
- Active Medical Assistant Certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a primary care, endocrinology, or urgent care setting.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for patient and provider correspondence.
- Ability to manage and track multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Review patient records, clinical documentation, and administrative data to determine program eligibility.
- Manage the collection, faxing, and tracking of medical records from external PCPs and specialists.
- Ensure HIPAA and privacy compliance during all record handling.
- Maintain professional and clear communication with patients regarding their eligibility status.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to streamline the patient intake process.
