Requirements
- Relevant experience in Data Science, Applied Science, or Economist roles.
- Ph.D. (min 4+ years industry experience) or M.S. (min 8+ years industry experience) in a quantitative field.
- Fluent in statistical analysis, programming languages (Python), and SQL.
- Comfortable in innovative and fast-paced environments.
- Strong technical communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to tackle ambiguously defined problems and deconstruct them into actionable components.
Responsibilities
- Lead the measurement strategy for user safety by defining metrics, frameworks, and dashboards.
- Use data and science-backed methods to inform the strategic direction of Safety product development.
- Design and execute experiments and quasi-experimental / inferential causal analyses.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable models leveraging statistical, machine learning, or GenAI methodologies.
- Tactically support product development and go-to-market from problem framing to post-launch monitoring.
- Evaluate and implement advancements in ML and LLMs for abuse detection and enforcement.
- Translate complex analyses into clear narratives and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Mentor and up-level junior Data Scientists and Analysts.
