Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data infrastructure roles.
- 2+ years leading other engineers or analysts.
- Expert experience with orchestration tooling such as Airflow or Dagster.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Expert experience with data-warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Expert experience with data modeling and semantic layers (e.g., dbt).
- Experience with metadata/lineage tooling and data quality frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of API design, data contracts, and event-driven data architectures.
- Proven track record designing data pipelines across multiple source systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture and operational health of the data-orchestration layer.
- Lead a team of data engineers/ETL analysts on day-to-day project work.
- Define and enforce data pipelines' SLAs, error-recovery, and documentation.
- Lead cross-system interoperability work and design abstractions.
- Partner with reporting/analytics teams to ensure data models align with needs.
- Own and evolve tooling around data quality, observability, lineage, and cataloging.
- Evangelize data-as-product mindset and define APIs and data contracts.
