Requirements

  • Proven experience shipping LLM-powered systems into production.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or Node.js.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Cloudflare Workers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build or own end-to-end evaluation pipelines.
  • Experience setting technical standards, API contracts, or observability practices.
  • Ability to operate across team boundaries without formal authority.
  • Capability to connect external ecosystem changes to internal product strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and evolution of AI-ready tools and APIs that enable LLM platforms to reliably interact with Canva's design capabilities.
  • Own and evolve evaluation frameworks that systematically measure tool-use accuracy across platforms.
  • Shape Canva's agent architecture and orchestration layers for third-party AI providers.
  • Define and build observability systems to identify failure patterns and set quality benchmarks.
  • Work across team boundaries to drive solutions spanning AI Integrations, API Capabilities, and Workflow Integrations teams.
  • Influence integration strategy with partners like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
