Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data integration, or EDI within the healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of healthcare claim adjudication for medical, dental, and vision.
- Strong knowledge of EDI SNIP validations and industry-standard tools (e.g., EDIFECS).
- Understanding of healthcare EDI transactions (e.g., 834, 837, 835).
- Familiarity with file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS).
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and JSON.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data mappings and transformations for healthcare data files (837/835, 270/271, 278, 276/277, 999/TA1).
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define data requirements and onboard new connections.
- Develop and implement data validation rules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Proactively identify, resolve, and perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies.
- Monitor system status and Data Exchange management data to identify abnormalities.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for exchange issues.
- Document data exchange processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and automate data exchange processes.
- Generate reports on data exchange performance and metrics.
- Participate in projects related to vendor changes and client migrations.
