Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong track record of designing, building, and operating scalable and high-performance services.
- Hands-on experience instrumenting and debugging performance issues.
- Practical knowledge of microservices, event-driven design, and distributed architectures.
- Cloud platforms (GCP preferred) experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE, Cloud Run).
- Expertise in relational (PostgreSQL/AlloyDB) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
- Experience with data warehousing (BigQuery) and messaging systems (Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka).
- Proficiency in statically typed languages (TypeScript, Go, C/C++, Java, Rust).
- Experience with Gitflow branching model.
- Strong communication and leadership influence skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure platform components and microservices.
- Promote and implement best practices for observability, monitoring, and performance testing.
- Analyze and optimize application-level performance for critical workflows.
- Contribute to the analysis of platform architecture and simplify architectural complexity.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Lead design reviews and provide constructive feedback to elevate code quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and influence the team's technical direction.
- Produce clear, high-quality architectural diagrams and technical documentation.
