Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, ESL, Education or a related field
- TESOL certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with adult ESL learners
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring TOEFL specifically
- Non-native English speaker with native-level multilingual proficiency
- Demonstrated familiarity with structured assessment and rubric-based evaluation
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as an online contractor
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate user responses to TOEFL/TESOL practice questions using rubrics created by our in-house team
- Review and edit written feedback provided to users, ensuring it is accurate, clearly worded and aligned to rubric criteria
- Develop deep familiarity with a specific question type (e.g. Write an Email, Virtual Interview, Academic Discussion)
- Understand how responses should be structured and scored
- Perform peer review by comparing your evaluations against those of fellow contractors and grader-generated scores
