Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in digital forensics investigations, with a significant portion focused on mobile device forensics.
- Proven expertise in using mobile forensic tools such as Cellebrite UFED/Physical Analyzer, Magnet AXIOM, and others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of legal and evidentiary procedures related to mobile device evidence.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for cases as needed.
- Bachelor's degree preferable but not required.
- Experience in Law Enforcement, Information Technology, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Perform forensic examinations of mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) running iOS and Android operating systems.
- Conduct extractions of data from mobile devices using industry-standard hardware and software (e.g., Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM).
- Employ techniques to bypass or overcome device security features (where legally permissible and ethical) to access data.
- Perform data recovery from damaged, locked, or malfunctioning mobile devices.
- Analyze mobile device data, including but not limited to: call logs, SMS/MMS messages, contacts, photos, videos, email, application data, web history, location data, and social media activity.
- Document all findings, methodologies, and chain of custody in clear and concise reports.
- Present technical findings related to mobile device evidence to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members on investigations involving mobile devices.
