Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program.
- Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
- Current licensure in the state where the employee works.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Mathematical reasoning and computer literacy.
- Ability to focus and manage complex tasks in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, healthcare providers, and clients.
- Answer clients’ clinical questions regarding incoming samples, testing, and results.
- Resolve clinical issues related to test orders.
- Manage routine cases with appropriate escalation and follow-through.
- Document case progress accurately in internal systems.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
- Serve as subject matter expert for designated genes or workflows.
- Review and abstract clinical information provided by clients.
- Contribute to clinical review of marketing or website materials.
