Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience with 15+ years in software engineering or security-focused roles.
  • Strong expertise in containerized environments, particularly Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.
  • Deep proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java, and Bash.
  • Strong systems design and architecture skills for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Helm.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with experience handling production incidents and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and infrastructure-as-a-service environments.
  • Experience with security concepts such as encryption, TLS, and compliance-driven engineering.
  • Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools (e.g., Trivy, Aqua Security, Tenable Nessus, Fortify).
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across distributed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop advanced security tooling and automation to accelerate vulnerability detection and remediation across engineering teams.
  • Lead the design and implementation of security features such as encryption, TLS, secrets rotation, IAM, and certificate management.
  • Drive Proof of Concepts for new security initiatives and evaluate third-party tools to enhance developer velocity and security posture.
  • Build and maintain tools to monitor and improve security standards, including encryption inventory and compliance tracking systems.
  • Investigate and resolve complex security-related production issues, including root cause analysis of stability and incident escalations.
  • Author detailed design documentation and technical plans for cross-functional security initiatives in ambiguous environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and security stakeholders to align on architecture and long-term security strategy.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to team growth through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
