Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years in senior engineering leadership positions such as Director or above.
- Strong expertise in software development life cycle management, distributed systems architecture, cloud technologies, system reliability, and scalable platform engineering.
- Proven track record leading large-scale engineering organizations and delivering complex technical initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Experience building and managing geographically distributed engineering teams in high-growth or fast-paced technology environments.
- Strong technical judgment with the ability to balance short-term priorities and long-term engineering investments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive-level decision-making.
- Experience driving operational excellence, organizational transformation, and engineering best practices across teams.
- Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or modern product development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and experience navigating ambiguity while delivering impactful results.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the engineering strategy and long-term roadmap for multiple teams or critical technical domains, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and business objectives.
- Lead and scale high-performing engineering organizations, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with product management, architecture, and executive leadership to translate strategic initiatives into actionable delivery plans.
- Establish strong operational frameworks and delivery mechanisms to support predictable, scalable, and high-quality software development across distributed systems.
- Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices in software architecture, system design, reliability, scalability, and operational performance.
- Manage resource allocation, investment priorities, and technical trade-offs to ensure long-term platform health and engineering efficiency.
- Mentor and develop engineering managers and senior technical leaders while supporting diversity, inclusion, and talent growth initiatives.
- Oversee complex technical programs and cross-functional initiatives while ensuring successful execution in dynamic and evolving environments.
