Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Member in good standing of a state Bar.
- At least 5 years of legal experience.
- Experience in a contracts group, in-house, or corporate law.
- Experience managing people.
- Expertise in drafting/reviewing commercial and technology contracts.
- Ability to juggle high volume and multiple projects.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Excellent business judgment and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal sales team, vendors, and customers to mitigate risk.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (hardware, software, services, subcontract, NDA, vendor).
- Lead contract negotiations with sophisticated counter-parties.
- Develop tools to improve contractual processes and documentation.
- Train and manage lawyers.
- Manage outside counsel as needed.
- Manage and respond to disputes related to contracts.
- Create and update templates and processes.
- Assess and minimize sources of risk.
