Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training/experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in front-end development or UI/UX design.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a modern framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Experience creating accessible, responsive, and modular front-end components.
- Experience with design/prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch).
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and data-driven UI components.
- Familiarity with performance optimization and accessibility testing (Axe, SortSite).
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into modern, responsive UIs using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
- Implement UCD and HCD principles to improve usability and accessibility for DoD mission users.
- Develop journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design intent.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.x accessibility standards and DoD Manual 8400.01.
- Optimize performance for low bandwidth and high-latency environments.
- Conduct UI/UX performance testing and benchmarking.
- Collaborate with backend developers and system architects for API integration.
- Maintain version control using tools like AWS CodeCommit or GitHub Enterprise.
