Requirements

- 10+ years combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design)
- Strong online portfolio showcasing research-driven decisions
- Expertise in user research methodologies and user-centered design
- Understanding of the website development life cycle
- Experience designing for 508 and US Web Design System (USWDS) compliance
- Advanced coding knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JS
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe xD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead full-scale UX design efforts including research and blueprinting.
- Manage the planning, design, and implementation of multiple sites and applications.
- Lead user research and analysis to inform UI design.
- Collaborate with engineers and federal clients to define and implement solutions.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps for communication.
- Create scalable design resources for project collaboration.
- Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify UX improvements.
- Mentor and lead junior designers.
