Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent related experience
- 3-5 years of PPL Electric Distribution design experience
- Valid driver’s license with clean record for past 5 years
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams
- 5+ years of experience in the Power Distribution industry (preferred)
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D (preferred)
- Knowledge of Right-of-Way acquisition processes (preferred)
- Experience with highway, railroad, and waterway crossing requirements (preferred)
- Ability to produce detailed structural modification drawings (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements.
- Apply design standards to underground and aerial pole line cable plant.
- Review preliminary and final design drawings using CAD.
- Produce detailed design documentation and line layout/routing.
- Perform field data collection and prepare accurate field sketches.
- Prepare documentation and work order construction prints.
- Field check design layouts and provide technical support for construction.
- Coordinate design reviews of distribution projects with utility customers.
- Maintain project records and facilitate turnover.
- Interface with vendors and construction crews.
