Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or comparable capacity.
- Strong skills in Python or a JVM language (Java, Scala).
- Advanced SQL knowledge and relational database experience.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses, specifically BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Experience building data platforms in a production public cloud setting.
- Experience with ELT/ETL pipelines processing large volumes of data.
- Experience developing production Spark or Hadoop applications.
- Experience with workload orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer.
- Familiarity with DataOps practices and IaC (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience with batch, micro-batch, and real-time streaming architectures.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on their Google Cloud journey.
- Implement and manage ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Design and maintain Data Warehousing solutions.
- Develop and support Distributed Data Processing systems.
- Manage Streaming Data systems.
- Provide strategic guidance and technology decision support to customers.
- Execute co-development projects within customer teams.
