Job Details

Computer Science degree or equivalent experience from having worked as an engineer before moving into Management.
Conceptual familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm.
Knowledge around distributed systems.
Experienced people manager capable of coaching senior engineers.
Motivated self-starter with a strong bias toward action and ownership.
Comfortable collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment, using clear, empathetic communication.
Experienced in guiding and supporting other engineers, leading initiatives or small teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, align stakeholders, and elevate team performance.
Deeply customer-focused, consistently grounding decisions and technical choices in user needs and real-world impact.
Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, production-readiness, and observability.
Comfort with AI-assisted tooling and ideally practical experience folding them into a team’s workflow.

Manage, hire, and develop a team of engineers, providing regular feedback and supporting each person’s growth through career conversations.
Act as project manager and work with product owners to ensure the product roadmap is defined and up-to-date.
Engage in technical conversations and challenge teams to arrive at strong technical decisions.
Interact occasionally with customers, who are largely companies using Mimir to monitor their operations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technical trends and shifts to maintain understanding of team challenges.
